Denison, Texas. The birthplace of Dwight Eisenhower.

Yesterday I drove home from Durant, Oklahoma. I had my GPS take me home through Texarkana. When I drove into Denison I saw a sign directing one to the birthplace of Eisenhower. Oh Boy! I said  Thats for me. I brake for Presidential birthplaces!

This site is taken care of by the city of Denison and the state of Texas. It is very nice. They have a vistor's center with an excellent slide talk in a cool room. Some of Ike's paintings were on a wall.

I have also visited Ike's boyhood home in Kansas and his retirement farm at Gettysburg.
