Concealed Handgun Permit.

Tomorrow I am going to receive 10 -12 hours of training in gun handling. It is a requirement to renew my Concealed Handgun Permit. Part of the class is firing 50 rounds in your gun. There is much paper work required. Three notarized affidavits, passport picture, copy of drivers license, copy of army discharge, and a very detailed application.

This reminds me of the days of training that I received when I was in the Army in World War II.

On my first combat landing I remember riding into the beach on Angaur Island in a LCVP. I looked around at  the 20 or 30 men in the craft with me. I knew them fairly well. I was not comfortable knowing that they all had loaded guns. Some were not all that level headed. They did ok however.
