Benjamin Alire Saenz. Poet and Author.

I attended a lecture by Benjamin yesterday afternoon at the Port Townsend Writers Workshop. I enjoyed his talk very much. Benjamin lives in El Paso. His home is about a mile from the border. I thought that it was interesting that I drove from Louisiana to Washington to listen to a talk by a man from Texas. He enlightened me about the art of writing as well as life along the border. Both subjects are of interest to me.
