Old Glory. Seven stories high.

Yesterday I was at the VA Hospital in Shreveport. I was having an orientation about an esophagogastroduoenoscopy (EGD). I was on the seventh floor. Out the window I saw the flag flying.

I thought, surely the pole is not seven stories high. The pole must be based on a nearby roof. Not so.

The base was on the ground right in front of the main entrance to the hospital. The pole must be almost a hundred feet tall. What a pole!. It did not seem to sway at all.

It was a nice day for flag pictures. My heart went pitter-pat.
