On the road to David Carnal's fish camp.

David is a member in good standing of the Jefferson Corner Sports Fan Club. He has a fish camp on the Ouachita River. It is the area East of Marion, Louisiana. He is having some people for a fish fry next Saturday. The directions to his camp are exciting. The camp is on our (West) side of the river......usually. When the river is high the road to his camp is under water. People going to the fish fry will report to a landing down river and take a boat ride to the fry. I drove out there this morning to check it out. This is the road to the camp.

Now I know why David looks at the river levels in the newspaper! I drove around the area some.

These are some of the area fish camps. One of them is in bad shape.

Toward the end of my explorations I met a pick up. The driver was David Carnal. He told me I was early for the fry. A week early!
