prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Huckleberry Park and Nature Trails

The city of Ruston should be proud of this park. I have been watching city crews work on it for months. It is only a couple of blocks from the Senior Center where I go to lunch.

There is a good jungle gym on a rubber mat.

The city turned some artistic welders loose on the front sign and two structures in the park.

This structure is a signed work of art.

There are good trails with signs. I have not measured them yet, but I will.

The park is well worth a visit. Either for the playground or for a nice walk. Or both.
