Valley Forge by bus.

I had a great bus ride around Valley Forge. My research tells me that I had several cousins who were there in the winter of 1777.

We had a good tour guide. He brought the world wide conflict between England and France into the story of Valley Forge.

We had a demonstration of the correct use of a flint lock. Good to know.

There were 2000 huts like these in the winter of 1777. Each squad built their own. The locals had fun taking them apart for the lumber when the army left.

This building held the headquarters of George Washington. Some of the building is the original. Of course the building was new in 1777.
