The Battle of Blue Lick.

This was the last battle of the Revolutionary War. It was a defeat for the Kentuckians. Daniel Boone and family were among the Kentuckians. Daniel lost a son and a nephew in the battle. It was fought 10 months after the surrender of Cornwallis.

I went in the park and found another grave.

There were many parties, called burial parties that recovered bodies of many of the fallen. Daniel recovered the bodies of his kin. The unclaimed were buried here.

One of the fallen received a personal marker.

The battle was fought about 10 miles south of Mt Olivet, the county seat of Robertson County.
