Remember my blog about brooms a few days ago? And I was kinda proud that I remembered the owner's name as Ward? Today I googled Pomona Broom Factory with the results below. There is a picture of a young Ward Batsford picking oranges. He is said to be the future owner of the Pomona Broom Factory on East Second Street. I lived across the alley on East Third Street.

What a memory! I remembered Ward from 80 years ago. Now if I could just remember this morning.
