Broom making the old fashioned way.

Fiddlers and cloggers like clean floors. So they had a broom maker installed in the middle of the fiddle fest.

This really caught my eye. When I was 7 or 8 years old a man had a broom factory across the alley. I spent hours watching him comb the seeds out of broom corn and making brooms. It was a one man factory. I can remember his first name. It was Ward. It was fascinating watching him form a broom. He even had a label with "Pomona Broom Factory" printed on it.
