prune picker

This is the blog of a prune picker. (Native born Californian) Retired oilfield. I am an old man. I blog a lot about my body and getting old. As I approach death life gets more interesting. More interesting is not good. I still drive. I attend sports, music, and civic events. I am writing my memoirs. I attend swim class three times a week. Some of my blogs might be interesting. A lot of my blogs are silly and trivial. None are very long.

Oak Table in Sequim. Another delicious meal.

Jackie and I have gone to the Oak Table Cafe in Sequim for years. Many times with three or four couples. It is about 30 minutes from the Escapee Park. I have many happy memories of meals at the Oak Table. You might have noticed while reading my blogs that I go out to eat a lot. I and friends had lunch at the Oak Table today.

My meal of Mexican omelet and fried potatoes.

Barbara , Darlene, and Lloyd  were kind enough to go with me today. I apologize for the poor pictures.

Joy and Boys.

Here is a nice recent picture of my grand daughter Joy and her three boys in Louisiana. Christian, Ethan, and Ross. What a group of nice people. I love them.

Bingo

Played bingo at the Escapee Clubhouse last night. Had a delicious hot dog for supper.

There was a good crowd. I had a nice visit with old friends.

From the right. Irene, Haroldine, and Elaine. This is where Jackie used to sit.

The Old Prunpicker and Herm did not get a bingo.

Today's visit to the Beach Club at Port Ludlow.

My Port Ludlow friend Bev Smith got me a pass to the Beach Club. Thank you Bev. They have an Aquacise Class on MWF at 10 to 11. I have been attending. I wonder if I can get a letter from the Beach Club to Louisiana Tech so I can get credit. I will be missing two months of classes at Tech. Here are some pics of my morning. Notice the Olympic Mountains in pic 1.

The outdoor pool is not used in my class.

After class coffee room.

My class room. Only a couple dozen people attend. One of the class members lead the class.

Lunch with dear friends of Jackie and I.

Irene, Elaine, and Bev played bingo with my wife Jackie for many years. Jackie was very fond of them.   Irene invited me to lunch with her and Elaine today. We were joined by Bev and Chuck. We drove from Chimacum down to Silverdale. Jackie and I would usually go Silverdale every week to shop and have lunch. This was my first trip to Silverdale in years. I really had a day with Jackie and friends today. Thank you, folks.

From the left in the photo is Bev, Chuck, Irene, the Old Prunepicker, and Elaine.

Wrock's Woodinville Acres.

What a pretty wooded scenic place. Wild berries everywhere. Little Bear Creek runs across the back of the Acres. There is a pretty water fall. Darn, there is a freeway the other side of the creek.

A bench near the Creek.

House view from backyard.

Views down on the house from the street.

View down the driveway.

Pretty flowers.

View up the driveway.

Not sure of the name of this cat. He would climb onto my lap.

A skate park across the street!

The Wrocks home in Woodinville is about 75 yards from a great skate park. The park also has playground equipment, climbing rock. graffiti wall and an attached nature walk. We spent a pleasant hour there during my visit to Woodinville.

Park was created due to the good work of the Rotary Club.

This gentleman had a white beard, helmet, knee pads, and shin guards. He was very good and went zipping around the park flying into the air often.

Photography meeting at the Bay Club.

Bob Graham has led this group for many years. I attended many when I lived in Chimacum. Bob is an excellent photographer and a great teacher. I enjoyed the meeting this morning. It has been nice to see Bob again. I even picked up some pointers and links.
