This is the blog site of an old man. As a native Californian I call myself a prune picker. I live in a fifth wheel trailer. My front door is 25 steps from my daughter’s front door in the Piney Woods of North Louisiana. My blogs are often silly and or trivial, and some times educational and serious. I hope that some are interesting. None are long.
Preparing these blogs seems to fill a need in my life. I am compelled to do it. It helps fill the time until I die. It gives me something to do everyday.

Today is my last day at the show. The Entracts are staying through Sunday. We said goodbye and wished each other safe and pleasant journeys.
Traffic and attendance is growing.

What a menu! You will be able to order a delicious meal here.
I will have spent two weeks in Kentucky by the time I get home next weekend. I am glad I did. My ancestors spent 200 years here. I have a much better understanding of what their lives were like now.

I asked what the shed was for. I was told that this is where the magic happens. A less poetic person would say that it was a breeding shed. You can see how embarrassed I was.
